The main musical act of the 2012 Republican National Convention was none other than Taylor Hicks, backed by the G.E. Smith Band led by Taylor’s musical Director Brian Less.
After a round of media interviews earlier in the day. Taylor took the stage just before the now legendary speech by Clint Eastwood. Taylor had the crowd rocking with his version of the Doobie Brothers’ “Takin It To The Streets”. Delegates on the floor were boogie-ing during Taylor’s blazing harp solo.
